Jacqueline is a second year Criminology and Classics major at the University of Toronto with her sights set on attending law school upon graduation. Prior to her interest in law, Jacqueline was a graduate of Earl Haig Secondary School after acceptance into the music programme. Jac is a proficient writer, musician and poet. It was while she was at Earl Haig that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. It was in fact this experience that she wrote about when competing and participating as a winning member of the school’s slam poetry team that competed in Louder than a Bomb in Toronto in 2016. The team placed second city-wide, with Jac’s poem entitled “I was supposed to be a model” wherein she discusses the challenges and experiences associated with bipolar disorder. Jac’s intention is to work in criminal law.
